A Growing Movement for Young Men

The energy in the room was undeniable as over 150 people gathered for Fight Club’s 2nd Annual Spring Fundraiser—an evening filled with heart, healing, and hope. Hosted in support of Fight Club’s mission to provide peer support for young men navigating emotional, mental, and spiritual battles, the event offered a powerful glimpse into the impact this growing movement is having on the lives of teens and their families. With moving testimonies, emotional performances, and generous community support, this year’s fundraiser was not just a night to remember—it was a call to action.

Voices of the Inaugural Group

The evening began with a panel discussion featuring the inaugural group of Fight Club boys. These young men, now mentors and examples for the next wave of members, shared personal stories of how Fight Club has helped them navigate isolation, anxiety, and self-doubt. Their raw honesty struck a chord with everyone in attendance, reinforcing the urgent need for spaces where young people can speak openly and support one another without judgment. The authenticity of their stories set the tone for a night that would touch every heart in the room.

A Mother’s Message of Loss and Hope

One of the most unforgettable moments came when Tiffany Whitney, a guest speaker and mother who lost her 15-year-old son, Ryan, to suicide, took the stage. In the wake of unimaginable loss, Tiffany channeled her grief into action by creating an emergency Fight Club group for Ryan’s little brother and close friends. Her heartfelt speech powerfully illustrated the difference Fight Club can make in young lives, especially in moments of crisis. Her message resonated deeply with the audience—reminding everyone of the fragile mental health landscape our youth face today.

Community Generosity and Emotional Moments

In addition to the stories and speeches, the night featured a live auction with exciting items such as a whole beef and a Travis Kelce-signed jersey. Guests enjoyed delicious food generously provided by Nick and Jake’s, but the most touching moment came when Ford Bevins, son of Fight Club founder Ryan Bevins and a member of the original group, performed the song titled Call Me First. The song was a heartfelt reminder that even in our darkest moments, reaching out can be life-saving—and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.

Fueling the Mission Forward

Fight Club continues to grow and evolve because of nights like this—where the community shows up, gives generously, and bears witness to the life-changing work being done. In a world where young adults are more digitally connected than ever yet often feel emotionally isolated, Fight Club is building real bridges of support and connection. This annual fundraiser not only fuels that mission but also reminds us that the most important battles are fought—and won—together.

Fight Club is a space where young adults can openly talk about the issues they’re facing, without judgment or pressure. Have questions or want to learn more about Fight Club? We’re here to help. Whether you’re looking to join, a parent seeking more information, or someone interested in supporting our mission, don’t hesitate to reach out.
