A Historic Kickoff: Blue Valley High’s First Girls Fight Club Takes a Swing at Topgolf

A Night Full of Laughter and Firsts
There was something special in the air at Topgolf the night the Blue Valley High School Class of 2029 girls gathered for their big kickoff. More than 25 girls showed up—smiling, laughing, and cheering each other on as they took their swings and celebrated the start of something brand new. This wasn’t just a fun night out—it was the first-ever Girls Fight Club kickoff. The energy was electric, the friendships were instant, and everyone could feel they were part of something bigger.

From One Girl’s Dream to a Movement
This new chapter is being led by Kortney Bevins, who brings tons of heart, excitement, and vision to the group. Kortney has been part of Fight Club from the very beginning, and now she’s stepping up to guide these girls as they make history as the first-ever Fight Club for high school girls.
The idea for this group actually started with Kortney’s daughter, Saylor. For years, Saylor watched her older brother, Ford, head off to his Fight Club meetings. She’d see the fun, the friendships, and the lessons he brought home, and she’d say over and over, “I can’t wait until I’m in high school and we have a Fight Club for girls!” Now that she’s finally in high school, that dream has become a reality—not just for her, but for her friends who wanted to be part of something special, too.
To make the night even sweeter, Ford showed up to support his little sister and the new group. He shared stories from his own Fight Club experience and encouraged the girls to dive in, make the most of it, and enjoy the journey together. It was a full-circle moment for the Bevins family—and a reminder of how one girl’s excitement can spark something amazing for an entire community.

The Start of Something Amazing
What makes this group so exciting is that it’s not just another club—it’s a sisterhood in the making. These girls are stepping into high school together, ready to build friendships, grow their faith, and cheer each other on every step of the way. They’re the first group of girls to ever do this, and they’re paving the way for so many who will come after them. The Class of 2029 girls are bold, joyful, and ready to show what Fight Club looks like when the girls take the lead.
